Twingo, the highest selling small city car in France!

Renault introduced its first model of Twingo at the Paris Motor Show in 1992 for a launch of the model in 1993. The first generation of Twingo had an MPV profile applied to a city car and initially targeted an "alternative" customer base. In 2007, the Twingo II was unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show. With a few modifications of the design, this new Renault model acquired a new engine and proved to be more reliable. Finally, in 2014, the Renault introduced the Twingo III: it replaced the second generation Twingo, that was marketed from 2007 to 2014, which is the highest selling small city car in France!

In 2015, it was the highest selling car in its category in France with more than 45,000 units sold.
