Before being put forward at a public auction, each vehicle undergoes a multi-point technical inspection that is conducted by an independent operator. Furthermore, each vehicle submitted is carefully prepared by our teams who wash and vacuum clean the vehicles before they are displayed.
During the viewing, the records of each vehicle are available on request at the reception. This gives you an opportunity to become familiar with the origin, administrative documents, any repair invoices and all the elements you need to make your future purchase.
For more than 50% of the models presented, the full and summary service history is also available.
Before each auction, the vehicles that are available for sale at auction are displayed for a few hours. The viewings are generally held on the day before the auction and/or on the morning of the auction in each of our 7 auction centres Beauvais, Paris Sud, Nancy, Tours, Rennes, Marseille and Lyon.
In order to find the vehicle(s) that you have identified on our website, just make a note of the lot number located in the vehicle catalogue.
The viewing allows you to confirm whether the vehicle you have identified matches your initial expectations.
Our teams of professionals are available to answer your questions and help you to examine every detail of each vehicle. During this time, you can start up the vehicles, examine the engine, the features and the options and get an explanation of how a public auction works.
Cars are sold through public auctions, meaning they are open to all, private individuals as well as companies. You must provide a valid official proof of identity confirming your name as well as a bank card used for each awarded car’s deposit.
Each car auction is conducted by auctioneers. The latter will pass the different vehicles of the auction before your eyes and list their different features.
The auction of the vehicle presented begins at the opening bid that is set in advance. Bidders call their bids out loud or by simply by raising their hand. If you are the highest bidder, it is only when you hear the word "sold" that you officially become the owner of the vehicle.
The vehicles are displayed running in the auction centres with seating.
The vehicle is sold at a hammer price in Euros inclusive of tax to the highest bidder (excluding the buyer's premium). As soon as the sale is announced, you can settle the payment of the vehicle. The amount to be paid is equal to the exact hammer price plus the buyer's premium.
For physical sales, the buyer's premium must indeed be added to the hammer price. This premium is 12% excl. of tax, i.e. 14.4% incl. of tax (with a minimum of €360 incl. of tax, i.e. €300 excl. of tax) + €100 incl. of tax for private individuals (€83.33 excl. of tax) and for businesses.125 euros VAT for individuals and for professionals.
You can pay for your vehicle by bank transfer or by bank card. For reasons of security, no payments or deposits settled in cash, regardless of the amount, will be accepted. Payment must be completed within 3 days of the sale.
A fixed fee of €40 for collection charges will be owed in the event of late payment (Art. D441-5 of the French code of commerce).
It is important to emphasise that the sale is closed and final as soon as the sale is announced.
Unlike conventional e-commerce websites, the purchase is confirmed by the fall of the hammer and not the payment. Distance and electronic selling through public auctions of furniture items are explicitly excluded from the right to withdraw requirement by the order 2001-741 of 23 August 2001 (art 121-17 of the French consumer code). As a result of this requirement, each bid placed and each sale is final. Successful bidders who refuse to assume their obligations are liable to face legal proceedings and/or their immediate and permanent exclusion from the site.
Once the payment of the vehicle has been settled, you can take possession of your vehicle and we will give you all of the administrative documents and accessories in our possession (service log books, code card, copies of keys, etc.) In some cases Alcopa Auction offers a delivery service. Vehicles can be delivered during the working days and hours of the auction centres Beauvais, Nancy, Tours, Rennes, Marseille and Lyon.
